Long
Thursday, July 29, 7:30 p.m.
Join us when
Boulder author Jeff Long reads and signs The
Descent (Crown, $24.00), a fascinating novel
in which he reveals the subterranean world of the
Homo hadalis, grotesquely malformed offshoots of
Homo sapiens, who for centuries have surfaced to
prey on human beings. Think Dante meets Jules
Verne meets Clive Barker. Publishers Weekly says,
"[The Descent] brims with energy,
ideas and excitement."
