IN STARTING OR JOINING A BOOK GROUP?
ARE YOU A PART OF A
BOOK GROUP THAT IS LOOKING FOR NEW
MEMBERS OR BOOKS TO DISCUSS?
WE WOULD LIKE TO
HEAR FROM YOU!
Popularized
by Oprah and Rosie, book groups are enjoying a
resurgence in popular culture. Why? Because they
give us a chance to slow down and make time in
our busy lives to read, and anexcuse to gather
with friends, co-workers, relatives, or even
complete strangers to talk about an experience
that by definition is solitary. The discussion
has the ability to deepen the impact of the
initial experience by sharing the differing
impressions of the group. We would like to help
you form or improve your book group, but first we
need to know what you want. Please come into the
store and complete our book group Interest Survey,
or send us an email message (info@boulderbookstore.com) with your thoughts about
book groups, and how we can help you.
We
will compile your ideas and suggestions then
update you in future newsletters and in-store
postings.
| How
Can You Tell An Independent Book Store
From A Chain? INDEPENDENTS HAVE BOOK
SENSE
|
 |
Passion. Knowledge.
Personality. Community Involvement. That's what
it means to have Book Sense and
that's why Boulder Book Store has joined with
thousands of independents around the country to
make our customers more aware of the dedication
and diversity you can find by avoiding cookie
cutter chains and seeking out independent
businesses.
Book Sense
is, in part, a marketing campaign (designed by
those very smart "Got Milk?" people) to
promote awareness of independents. You can now
see the Book Sense logo in the windows of your
favorite local book stores. Plus, when you're
traveling, you'll be able to seek out new
independents that really reflect their local
culture.
Look for the bi-monthly
Book Sense newsletter, as well
as our Book Sense Bestseller
display at the Boulder Book Store. You can also
purchase Book Sense gift
certificates, which are good at more than 1,100
Book Sense stores across the country!
